How to check frequency, chip type on a key?

     Can the IM508 with an XP400 check what frequency and transponder type is in a key? If so how do I do it?

     You connect the XP400 to the IM508 with the provided APC101 USB cable, select programmer , select remote detection and press one of the  remote or fobik buttons and it will read the frequency the button transmits at ,( but not the code). Select key and you can read the key and chip type of a Fobik or key.
